Delbert Laverne Caniff

Delbert LaVerne Caniff 85 of Comstock Park, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Mr. Caniff was born April 13, 1930 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Paul and Bertha (Wells) Caniff. He was a loving father and husband. He found joy in hunting with his family, fishing, bowling and golf. He also enjoyed playing bingo. He will be remembered for his love of black raspberry pie and going to the casino. He is survived by his children, Raymond (Cheryl) Caniff, Cheryl (Phil) Schneider, Kevin (Mary) Caniff, Keith (Bonnie) Caniff, Donald (Deb) Caniff; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Caniff; sons, Delbert “Pete” Caniff Jr. and Darrel Caniff; daughter, Susan Caniff. The family thanks Emanuel Hospice, especially Jan, for her loving care. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Monday 11:00 am. Pastor Jim Howard officiating.
