Dawn Marie Battjes

Dawn Marie Battjes age 52 of Cedar Springs, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at her home. Dawn was born September 7, 1969 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Kenneth and Patricia (Deboer) Nichols. She enjoyed worship music, bird watching, bowling, roller skating and dancing. Dawn brought light and laughter everywhere she went. She blessed people with her stories and inspired others beyond words. She loved Jesus, dare we say she was one of His biggest fans and wasn’t shy about it. She always made others feel welcomed and included. Smiling was Dawn’s specialty. Her gift of love was evident in every single thing she did. We know when Jesus welcomed her home, He was fiercely proud of her and welcomed her with open arms. Dawn and her husband, Scott volunteered for City Impact, Cedar Springs for the past six years. Surviving are her husband, Scott who she married on July 20, 2005; mother, Patricia Rivera; sisters, Julie (Roland) Sherburne, Barbara Bolt; brother, Robert (Wendy) Nichols; mother-in-law, Cheryl Carlisle; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Jen) Battjes, Terry (Mary) Battjes, Brian (April) Battjes. The family will greet friends Monday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at City Impact, 288 N. Main St. Cedar Springs. Pastor Jonathan Bergsma officiating.
