David Edward Krupp age 79 died Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at his daughter’s home surrounded by his family. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on March 18, 1940 to Glenn and Frances (Conard) Krupp. Jan and Dave fostered for 35 years, taking care of 125 babies for D.A. Blodgett- St. John’s. He enjoyed watching the Red Wings, NASCAR and going to Berlin Raceway. Dave worked in auto parts sales at Resner’s Automotive on Bridge St. and Auto Value on Kirtland for over 50 years and retired this past summer. When computers came into existence Dave thought he would have to quit his job, but he became the fastest two-fingered typist ever seen. He loved swimming with his grandchildren in the backyard pool and going to their sporting events. Dave was so genuinely nice, happy and helpful with everyone and everything. He will be missed by many. Dave was devoted to his wife Jan who died in September. He was preceded in death by his brother Glenn, and brother-in-law Woodrow L. Schultz. He is survived his children; Kelly (Tom) Dawson, Todd Krupp, Aaron (Erica) Krupp; grandchildren, Danielle, Cassie and Kori Dawson, Megan (Ross) Vanderlugt, Jordan, Austin, Nathan, Alicia, Kendall, Alianna, Aubrey and Abigail Krupp; brother Pat (Nancy) Krupp; sister-in-law Phyllis Schultz, many cousins, nieces and nephews. We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to Dr. Brinker, Danielle, Lauren and his team at Lemmen- Holton Cancer Pavilion for their support and guidance the past three years. Also, thank you to Faith Hospice for their care. Dave was grateful to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for the many grants he received during his illness to pay for his treatments. He was a very active member of St. Mary’s Church, 423 1st St. NW, Grand Rapids where Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 11:00 AM with visitation an hour prior. Visitation will be Sunday 3:00-5:00 PM at Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, 13603 Northland Dr. Cedar Springs, MI 49319. Rev. Frs. Ron Hutchinson and Rob Mulderink celebrants. Interment Mt.
