Darlene J. Elliott

Darlene J. Elliott age 92 of Kent City, died Saturday, May 27, 2023 at her home. She was born May 25, 1931 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Elijah and Ruth (Welch) Guiles. She enjoyed baking and sweet treats, crocheting, bird watching, reading, puzzles and her flowers. She loved her church, Whispering Pines in Ravenna. Surviving are her children, Roger (MaryLou) Elliott, Joyce (Rex) Stalhood, James (Patricia) Elliott, Mark (Tonya) Elliott; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brothers, Burl “Bud” (Adele) Guiles, Carl Guiles, Bob (Sandy) Guiles; sister, Mary Sudinski; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Elliott; grandson and his wife, Tony and Amy Smith; brothers, Richard, Joe and Rodney Guiles; sisters, Carolyn Larson and Esther Rountree. The family will greet friends Thursday, June 1 from 5-7 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Friday 11:00 am. Visitation at 10:00 am. Pastors Mark Elliott and Joe Kretoski officiating. Interment Idlewild Cemetery, Kent City. Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
