Darla K. Williams, age 81 of Rockford, MI, entered into eternity on Sunday, September 28, 2025. She was a devoted follower of Jesus, a faithful wife, a great mom, a kind mother-in-law, a gracious Grandma, and an inspiring Great-Grandma. She was born July 4, 1944, in Gladwin, MI, to Dolliver and Leola (Cuddie) Block. Upon graduation from Gladwin High School in 1962, she attended Grand Rapids Baptist College, where she met and married the love of her life, Jeffrey Williams, on July 10, 1964. Darla served faithfully alongside her husband in the ministry at Trinity Baptist Church of St. Charles, Michigan, for over forty years. While Darla worked at Community State Bank for over twenty-five years, her true legacy is her mission to share Jesus with all who knew her. Throughout her life, she was a gifted children’s church teacher, Bible study leader, and prayer warrior. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her children, Jefferson (Lisa) Williams, Jason (Christy) Williams, Joshua (Tara) Williams, Darcia (Marc) Black; grandchildren, Jeremy (Devin) Williams and Evelynn, Emmerson and Elodie, Annette (Andrew) McKay and August McKay, Bradey (Yolanda) Williams and Atlas and Isla, Hannah (Garett) Sanders and Norah, Tyler Slupka and Maeve, Chloe (Jayce) Freeman, Charis, Chaeli, Caleb (Fiancée, Taylor Mooney), Corban Williams, Eli (Gloria), Dylan, (Katie), Graysen Williams, Reese (Fiancé, Kyle Sweeney), Eliza, Josie Black; brothers Dale (Joyce) Block and Don (Pat) Block. Darla was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Williams, her parents, and her brother, Duane Block.
The family will greet friends Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 am at Magnify Church, 6727 Kuttshill Dr, Rockford, MI. Pastor Matt Mead will officiate with a private burial at the Sherman Township Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to Athletes In Action-Jayce Freeman or Bibles International. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
