Daniel D. Rienstra

Daniel D. Rienstra age 62 of Newaygo has joined Jesus his Savior in Heaven on Monday, August 24, 2020. After 21 years of suffering he kept his faith strong and always showed a positive attitude to others. He was married to the love of his life for 34 years, Linda. He left behind a daughter, Molly Rienstra and four sons, Ryan (Anna) Rienstra, Andrew (Angie) Rienstra, Todd (Nancy) Sperling, Troy Sperling and fiancé, Mendi Waters. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. He also left behind his mother and father, Pete and Shirley Rienstra; brothers, Doug (Deb) and Steve (Kathy) Rienstra. Dan was so blessed to have had the same doctor, Dr. Basch who endlessly tried to alleviate as much of his pain as he could. He became his dear friend. He had many friends who stopped to visit and help. He was a construction manager at Pioneer Construction for many years. He was a talented woodworker and was always working on projects for friends and family. Thanks to all who helped brighten his days. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Grandville Cemetery. Arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
