Daniel P. Metzger

Daniel Paul Metzger age 62 of Howard City died Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at his home. Dan was born on January 26, 1962 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Kenneth and Judith (Stuthard) Metzger. He had a love for live music and was the leader of two bands, Amarillo and Country Rewind. Dan enjoyed fishing and sharing his wealth of knowledge for birds and reptiles. He was known for his 101 useless facts. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Holly; children, Amanda Mansel, Jeff (fiancé Amber) Alverson; grandchildren, Makayla, Breysen, Seth, Derek and Faye; siblings, Brian (Dare) Metzger, Ken (Sherrie) Metzger, David (Brenda) Metzger, Tim (Cindy) Metzger, Sherri (Lester) Dykstra, Judy (Duane) Howard; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, Phil and Kay Hallock.  The family will greet friends Friday, Nov. 22 from 4 – 7 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am. Pastor Bruce Wilson officiating. Interment East Nelson Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
