Dale C. Morey

Dale C. Morey, 63 of Cedar Springs, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Dale was born July 14, 1943 in Muskegon County, MI the son of Clifford and Ila (Rosel) Morey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam Era and had been a resident of the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans for the past six months. He was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church and the West Michigan Filipino-American Association. Surviving are his wife Minnie; 3 children, Robert & Cheryl Morey, Jeanette & Steven Skelonc, Mario & Kris Morey; 5 grandchildren, Nathan, Trevor and Mason Morey, Madeline and Brice Skelonc; brothers, Jess, Ken & Ruth, Keith & Lisa, Darwin, Harry & Carol; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Darrell and 1 sister-in-law, Evadeen Morey. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The funeral service will be held Friday 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Consolation, Rockford with Deacon Paul Antor officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs with military honors by the Kent County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
