Curtis A. Phillips

Curtis A. Phillips age 82 of Sand Lake, died Thursday, August 10, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 15, 1941 in Sand Lake, MI the son of Louis and Alma (Boone) Phillips. He worked for many years and retired from Sparta Foundry. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, enjoyed traveling and camping. He and Lois spent many winters in Arizona and later enjoyed trips to the casino. He loved and cherished his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Lois (Parker); children, Timothy (Beth) Phillips, Michelle (Jeff) Paepke; grandchildren, Kari Westervelt, Andrew Phillips, Nathan Phillips; great grandchildren, Dylan Greenfield, Victoria Phillips, Bearett Phillips; brothers, Dale (Ann) Phillips, Dean (Kevin) Phillips; sisters-in-law, Doris Martin and Edith Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; great granddaughter, Emma Phillips; siblings, Marguerite Spurgis, Paul Phillips, David Phillips and Carol Phillips. The family will greet friends Tuesday, August 15 from 10:30 until time of service at 11:30 am at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Ross Merlington officiating. Interment Sand Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
