Curt Evans Hinson was born on November 19, 1966 in Royal Oak, Michigan. Sadly, he left us on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. He loved his family and friends, spending time outside, and gardening. He would proudly brag to his sister each spring about the variety of peppers he planted. He held various jobs throughout his 56 years, most recently at Meijer in the meat department where he would share recipes with his customers. He enjoyed working with his hands, keeping busy, and being kind to those around him both at work and in his community. Curt is survived by his dad and step-mom, Morris and Gail Hinson of Lake Orion, MI; his sister and her family, Edie and Bruce Hurley of Amarillo, TX; Sam and Ashley Hurley, Emerson, Arlo and Iris of Abilene, TX; Andy and Caitlin Hurley of Seattle, WA; and Larae Hurley and Bruce Archer of Albany, Oregon. His extended family is large. Family get togethers, holidays, especially Thanksgiving, and playing games around the table provided many great family memories. He also left behind a longtime good friend and partner, Pam Klaus, of Cedar Springs, MI. Pam’s children are Lt. Cmdr Bryan and Crystal Ballantyne, Billy, Ramsey and Lucinda of Chesapeake, VA; and Tracy and Jarrod Herbig, Addison and Hadley of Jenison, MI. Curt enjoyed being a part of their lives. He recently became a fan at Addison and Hadley’s games. He was preceded in death by his mom, Barbara Jean Churchill Moss and younger brother, Scot Aaron Hinson. He missed them dearly. A memorial service will be planned for later. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
