Craig R. Opper

Craig R. Opper age 38 of Howard City, passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Craig was born October 10, 1981 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Richard and Mary Beth (Klooster) Opper. He worked for Jack Dykstra Excavating and Opper Excavating. He loved snowmobiling and traveling, especially the U.P. He enjoyed restoring old windmills. He was hardworking, very loving and always stayed busy. Surviving are his wife, Christina; children, Logan and Emerson; father, Richard (Sue) Opper; sisters, Kym (Todd) Opper, Kris (Mario) Morey; parents-in-law, Richard and Sally Raczkowski; brother-in-law, David (Kari) Raczkowski; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Beth Opper. The family will greet friends Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor Tim Eldred officiating. Interment Reynolds Township Cemetery, Howard City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Trust Fund for his children.
