Chris A. Nikodemski

Chris A. Nikodemski, 60 of Grattan Township, Belding, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2015 with his family by his side. Chris was born April 13, 1955 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Anthony and Barbara (Kempf) Nikodemski. He was a skilled craftsman and finish carpenter and had worked as a lead carpenter for Morris Builders, Inc. He was a Grattan Township Firefighter and EMT-Basic. He was a water skiing enthusiast who involved his family and friends in the sport. Chris was very family oriented and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Karen (Klunder); children, Carlee Nikodemski and fiance, Curt Hoisington, Kenneth Brown, Jr., Kyle (Angela) Brown, Kraig Brown and fiancee, Ashley Paulson; grandchildren, Kira and Emerson; brother, Edward (Janet) Nikodemski; sister, Francine (John) Farrington; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Debbie. The family will greet friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. A memorial service will be held Sunday 4:00 pm at Harbor Life Church, 3085 Wallace Avenue, SW, Grandville, MI. Pastor Jack Klunder officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Grattan Township Fire Department.
