Chester D. Quist

Chester D. Quist age 94 of Cedar Springs went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 6, 1928 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Cornelius and Anna (Oosterloo) Quist. Chester was a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School. He married Dorothy Fryling in Portage, MI in 1953 and was in sales, service and a truck driver for Safety Kleen. God and fellowship through music in multiple quartets and a trio with his wife and daughter played an important role in his life. Surviving are his daughter, Jackie (Dave) Mourer; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Quist; grandchildren, Kevin Quist, Jason Kohn, Korey & Philip Borrelli, Renee & Steven Nowell, Daniel (Angel Phillips) Mourer, Brandy (Dave Linderman) Mourer; great grandchildren, Cheyene, Trystan, Faye, Cameron, Logan, Kira; sisters-in-law, Pat (Ray) Bigelow, Pat Fryling; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; son, Kevin; great grandson, Francis Borrelli; 5 siblings and many in-laws. The family will greet friends to honor Chet's life 4:00 - 6:00 pm Friday, June 3 at Solon Township Hall, 15185 Algoma Ave NE, Cedar Springs.
