Charlotte Haggerty

Charlotte (Hanna) Haggerty, 94 of Conklin, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Mrs. Haggerty was born March 10, 1914 in Courtland Township, MI the daughter of Charles and Phoebe (Covell) McConnell. She enjoyed keeping her home and loved to sew. She also enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions. Surviving are her husband, Leonard; 8 children, Betty Elkins, Charles (Janice) Hanna, Lyle (Judy) Hanna, Bonnie Welch, Judy (Jerry) Markham, Dan Hanna, Jim Hanna, Peggy Jean Hanna; 1 son-in-law, Conway Miller; 27 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 22 great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marjorie Gregory, Kenneth (Sandy) Haggerty, James (Joan) Haggerty, Dorothy Duncan, Bill (Marian) Royce, Arlene (James) Oliver; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hanna in 1965 and a daughter, Carol Miller in 2004. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Wednesday 11:00 am. Pastor Douglas Compton from Alpine Baptist Church officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs.
