Charles F. Navitskas, Sr. age 87 of Cedar Springs, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at DaySpring Assisted Living in Muskegon. He was born January 20, 1939 in Cedar Springs, the son of Francis and Irene (McNees) Navitskas. Chuck was a millwright at Wolverine World Wide for 46 years. He was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting big and small game, fishing, and gardening. Chuck would often can vegetables from his garden, make his special pizza for family, and share his homemade ice cream. He enjoyed playing cards and watching television like John Wayne movies and other westerns, hunting shows and old sitcoms. Chuck loved to play practical jokes on his grandchildren and make people laugh. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Chuck will be missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his children, Charles Navitskas, Jr., Robert (Petra) Navitskas, Tammy (William) Budahn, Pammy (Jack) Ingell, Shelly Simmons; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; siblings, Caroline Maynard, Frederick Navitskas; many nephews and nieces. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Beverly.
Memorial contribution may be made in Charles name to The American Heart Association.
The family will greet friends 10:00 a.m., Monday June 29 at K.E. Pike Funeral Home in Cedar Springs with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Michelle Vallier, officiating. Interment, East Nelson Cemetery.
