Charles Lavern Mckie

Charles LaVern McKie age 26 of Spring Lake passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. Charles was born December 28, 1995 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of William and Jane (Kilts) McKie. He enjoyed riding his BMX bike and writing music and songs. He loved being with his nieces and nephews and playing outdoors with them. He loved his cats and dogs and had a big heart. Surviving are his parents, William and Jane McKie; sisters, Alisha McKie, Beth Jackson, Sherry Adams and Patricia Breiter; grandmothers, Lois Kilts and Joyce McKie; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alex Perez; grandfathers, LaVern Kilts and Charles McKie; aunt, Mary Servello. The family will greet friends Wednesday, December 14 from 5-7 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. A closing prayer will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held at Solon Township Cemetery.
