Charles D. Fennessy

Charles D. Fennessy 82 of Sand Lake, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at Spectrum Health United Campus, Greenville. Mr. Fennessy was born May 30, 1930 in Chicago, IL the son of Charles and Dolores (Higgins) Fennessy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War for four years all overseas. He enjoyed reading and vacationing. Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Howe) whom he married on November 22, 1952; children David Fennessy (Tina), Daniel Fennessy (Jill), Sandra Miller (Dean), Donna Sabo (Ted); grandson, Eric Fennessy (Sally); 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Fennessy (Nora). He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Fennessy in September of 1978. Then family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where services will be held Monday 11:00 am. Pastor Larry Young officiating. Private family interment Reynolds Cemetery, Howard City at a later date.
