Cathy S. Hayden

Cathy Sue Hayden age 67 of Pierson, died Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Corewell Health Butterworth Campus. She was born September 13, 1956 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Darold and Charlene (VanderMeer) Harper. She worked for the U.S. Post Office for over 20 years. Cathy enjoyed her race horses, deer hunting, girl’s weekends and her dog, Cricket. Surviving are her husband, Scott; children, Katie Hayden, Curtis Hayden; father, Darold Harper and Norma Guernsey; siblings, Craig (Valerie) Harper, David (Tonya) Harper, Lori (Patrick) Bielecki, Teresa (Tim) Boehm, Tanya (Rick) Sevey, Todd (Mary) Hall, Trever (Ann) Hall; in-laws, Gail (Chuck) Swanlund, Cindy (Ken) Hansen, Eric (Jeri) Hayden; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Harper; mother, Charlene Harper; step mother, Mary Jane Harper; parents-in-law, Leo and Phyllis Hayden; grandparents. The family will greet friends Friday, November 3 from 5-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Saturday 1:00 pm. Please dress casual. Interment Pierson Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sand Lake Fire and Rescue.
