Carl Benjamin Mcnees

Carl Benjamin McNees, Sr. age 87 of Pierson, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at his home. Carl was born October 28, 1922 in Kalamazoo, MI the son of Eli and Dorothy (Butts) McNees. Surviving are his wife Alma Arlene (Paepke) whom he married on May 14, 1944; children, David (Mary) McNees, Arlene Scott, Ruthan (Robert) Hawkins, Carol “Shorty” (Tom) Lowery, Elizabeth “Jerry” Kennedy, Carl “Sonny” (Donna) McNees, Carla Stout, Kim (Alice) McNees, Mark McNees, Paula (Ricky) Telder, Tom (Pam) McNees, Bruce (Donna) McNees, Cindy (Carl) Blohm, Diana MacKenzie; 32 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. He was preceded in death by 3 sons, 1 daughter, 2 grandchildren, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where services will be held Friday 11:00 am. Mr. Ross Merlington officiating. Interment Pierson Cemetery.
