Carl A. Gorby

Carl A. Gorby 72 of Cedar Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Carl was born November 2, 1937 in Tyrone Township, MI the son of Lyle and Lucille (Johnson) Gorby. He worked for Pioneer Construction and retired from J.C. Carlson Construction as a Foreman. Surviving are his special friend, Maggie Eaton; children, Jeff (Deb) Gorby of Cedar Springs, Greg Gorby of Grand Rapids; grandsons, Sean and Keegan Gorby; sister, Betty (Henry) Brunins of Waupan, WI; brothers, Bud (Ellamae) Gorby of Fruitport, Mel (Leta) Gorby of Jansen Lake; many nieces and nephews and their children; close friend, Bob Grice. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Dick Bouwkamp. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
