Carl V. Anderson

Carl V. Anderson age 81 of Cedar Springs passed away Friday, October 17, 2025 at Corewell Health Blodgett Campus. He was born November 19, 1943 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Robert and Anna (Moore) Anderson. Carl retired from Delta Airlines after 36 years of service. He enjoyed wood working and was a member of the Red Flannel Rod & Gun Club where he taught hunter safety for over 30 years. He was a volunteer police officer in Cedar Springs for 14 years and had worked at the funeral home in Cedar Springs for over 30 years. Surviving are his sons, Michael Anderson, Aaron (Lisa) Anderson; grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail and Brayden; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Anderson; brother-in-law, Jerry Gross; in-laws, Carol (Chuck) Markus, Linda (Gary) Nead; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; sister, Barb Gross; in-laws, Fred (Lois) Andrus. The family will greet friends Thursday, October 23 from 2:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor Inge Whittemore officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Red Flannel Rod & Gun Club Hunter Safety Program.
