Robert Wayne Sculley, 80 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Ludington, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Mr. Sculley was born January 3, 1926 in Detroit, MI the son of Robert and Rose (Fahr) Sculley. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a Journalist and penned Sculley’s Sweet World column for the Ludington Daily News for many years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy Sculley. Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Holly and Martin Sause of West Bloomfield. From his book , The Questing Heart, he wrote, Love…is beyond explanation. It is beyond understanding. “Love can neither be comprehended nor explained by any configuration of words. Whether between a man and his mate, or between a parent and child, whether between any two humans on this whirling orb, love can never be understood through mere words.” He loved his wife and his children. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on May 13, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Crystal Valley Methodist Church, Hart. Arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
