Beverly M. Bowyer

Beverly M. Bowyer age 83 of Cedar Springs, MI went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Beverly was born April 8, 1936 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of William and Iva (Jenkinson) Mead. She was married to Harry D. Bowyer Jr. on May 14, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MI. Bev spent 29 and a half years as a dedicated bus driver for Cedar Springs Public Schools. She retired so she could spend time with family and friends. Surviving are her children, William (Sue) Bowyer, Ivah Jennings, Beverly Hale, Norma Zimmer and Yvonne Male; in laws, Ruth Schuelke and Louie Carlson; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and good friends. Mrs. Bowyer was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sons-in-law, Mike Hale and Ron Male; granddaughter, Vida Jennings; siblings, Mary Hood, Norma Bowyer, Betty Carlson, Harriet Burwell, William M. Bowyer, Jessie Herrmann, Laurie Veersma and Mary Dulak. The family will greet friends Tuesday 4-6 pm at Bliss Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the services will be held Wednesday 11:00 am with visitation at 10 am. Rev. Gary Carlson officiating. Interment at Rosedale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Springs Athletic Boosters.
