Betty J. Vanderzee

Betty Jean VanderZee age 78 of Cedar Springs died Friday, June 7, 2024 at University of Michigan West Hospital. She was born April 13, 1946 in St. Johns, MI the daughter of Charles and Lyla (Mitchell) Hammond. Betty enjoyed family vacations to Mackinaw City, St. Ignace and Cedar Point, mushroom hunting, bike riding, and especially horses. Surviving is her loving husband of 59 years, Robert; children, Vicki (Kevin) Carter, Robin (Daren) Peacock, Robert VanderZee, Jr., Rick VanderZee; grandchildren, Christa McClellan, Sabrina Weston, Tashina Drovdahl, Landon, Preston, Dillon, Holden, Brooklyn, Braden, Logan Peacock; great grandchildren, Everleigh Vaughn, Izabella, Malachi, Emberson, Kyler, Adelyn, Aubrey Peacock; sister, Marie (Ronald) Piper. The family will greet friends 11:00 am Wednesday, June 12 at K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm. Interment Fairview Cemetery.
