Betty J. McMillan, 79 of Cedar Springs, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Metron of Cedar Springs. Mrs. McMillan was born June 15, 1927 in Boyne City, MI the daughter of Milo and Orpha (Wilbur) Clute. She was a seamstress at Fisher Body on Alpine Avenue for 30 years. Her favorite pastimes included sewing and crocheting. Surviving are 6 children, Theodore & Betty McMillan of South Lyon, Michael & Helga McMillan of Grand Rapids, Karen McMillan of Ypsilanti, Timothy & Sue McMillan of Rochester, MN, Cindy McMillan of Greenville, Gary & Tammy McMillan of Cedar Springs; 12 grandchildren; 1 sister, Ada Piechowiak of Wyoming, MI; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James; 2 brothers, Frank & Claude Clute; 1 granddaughter. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com where services will be held Friday 11:00 am. Pastor Bruce Wilson officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park, Grand Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
