Betty B. Caniff

Betty B. Caniff, 78 of Comstock Park, died at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Mrs. Caniff was born March 18, 1930 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Stanley and Hazel (Hawkins) Lusk. She was preceded in death by her sons, Delbert “Pete” Caniff Jr. and Darrel Caniff; and 8 brothers and sisters. She was a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family. She will forever be remembered for her giving spirit, her delicious black raspberry pies, and love of cooking shows. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Delbert Caniff, Sr.; 6 children, Raymond (Terri) Caniff, Susan Caniff, Cheryl (Phil) Schneider, Kevin (Mary) Caniff, Keith (Bonnie) Caniff, Donald (Debbie) Caniff; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Dick Lusk, Jerry Lusk, Frank Lusk; 4 sisters, Alice Ryan, June Kurtz, Martha Witkowski, Rosemary Conklin; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Saturday 11:00 am. Pastor Jim Howard officiating. Family interment at Fairplains Cemetery, Sparta. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
