View Photo Tribute Bertha V. Morris, 92 of Sand Lake, died Tuesday, February 06, 2007 at Metron of Cedar Springs. Mrs. Morris was born August 2, 1914 in Sand Lake, MI the daughter of Anthony and Angeline (Zoppa) Lanesky. She was a member of Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church and their Altar Society. She was well known for her accordion music at many dances and weddings. She had retired from American Seating Company after 20 years of service. Surviving are 4 children, Marie & David Van Male of Pierson, John Morris of Greensboro, GA, Richard & Nancy Morris of Sand Lake, Barbara & Ed Sagorski of Pierson; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Parcher and Mary Middendorp both of Newaygo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Earle Morris & Marvel, Fred & Maxine Morris, Wilmer & Ruby Morris, Robert & Elizabeth Morris, Phyllis Stearns, Inez & Byron Welsh, Marian Morris, Alice & Robert Childs, Caroline & Forest Sage; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Orval in 2003; 2 sisters, Genevieve Carr and Anna Hartman; 1 brother, Joseph Lanesky. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Apostles in Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Joseph W. Kenshol celebrant. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sand Lake. Memorial contributions may be made to Metron of Cedar Springs.
