Bernice F. Armstrong, 86 of Sand Lake, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 10, 2017. Mrs. Armstrong was born January 10, 1931 in Winfield Township, MI the daughter of Karl and Jesse (Smith) Schnicke. She had worked for Wolverine World Wide for 35 years, enjoyed crocheting and was known for her cinnamon rolls. She was a charter member of Huggard Bible Church where she taught Sunday School and worked in Awana. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Bruce, whom she married on December 21, 1951; children, Glen (Wanda) Armstrong, Joan (Howard) Kepple, Amy (Klint) Beck; grandchildren, Tabitha (Matt) Akkerman, Jackie (Tom) Cato, Neil Armstrong, Bridget (Andy) Moul, Chris Armstrong, Sam (Heather) Armstrong, Tera (Bruce) Woode, Mike (Amanda) Knapp, Ryan (Mandy) Kepple, Alicia (Tim) Kelley, Brandon Beck, Seth Padilla; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Selma Reed, Madelin (Charles) Reed; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son and daughter-in-law, Jack (Barbara) Armstrong; brother, Karl Schnicke; in-laws, Clifton (Lavora) Armstrong, Eloise (Kelly) Covey and Harold Reed. The family will greet friends Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be Thursday 11:00 am at Huggard Bible Church, 8860 21 Mile Road, Sand Lake. The family will greet friends at 10:00 am. Pastor Rick Malone officiating.
