Beckie Sue Washington

Beckie Sue Washington age 61 of Rockford, MI died Sunday, June 16, 2019 at her home. Beckie was born December 29, 1957 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Gordon and Kathryn (McCormick) Flanagan. She was a hard worker all of her life. She had worked at Dykema Excavating and the Kent County Road Commission before her present job at Steelcase. She had a big heart and loved her grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Jason Washington, Rebecca Washington; five grandchildren, Jayonna, Jada, Jasmine, Kyla, Karissa; father, Gordon Flanagan; siblings, Pat (Garret) Schutt, Kathy Drew, Leo (Patty) Flanagan, Sharon (Charlie) Hieftje, Norm (Shelly) Flanagan, Patrick (Tina) Flanagan, Paul (Annie) Flanagan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Flanagan; brother, Michael; only grandson, Jalen Robert. The family will greet friends Friday from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
