Barbara J. Tennis

Barbara J. Tennis, 79 of Fremont, died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Newaygo County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Tennis was born July 6, 1934 in Jackson, MI the daughter of Lawrence William and Mary (Guscinski) Nolan. Surviving are her children, Glenn Jr., Sherrie, Linda Smith, Mary (Larry) Lounsbery, Jeff (Sherry), Kim (Jim) Sandlin, Debbie (Scott) Jenkins; 24 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Lori (Steve) Pawlowski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn in 2010 and a daughter, Kathy Holtz. Private burial will take place next to her husband at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at the Newaygo County Medical Care Facility at a date to be announced.  Arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
