Barbara A. Nylaan age 93 passed away Monday, May 4, 2026 at The Brook of Cedar Springs. She was born September 17, 1932 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Edward and Helen (Vullings) Roossien. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Barbara enjoyed music, baking, cooking and making bread. She always enjoyed having pets. Surviving are her children, Christina Coleman, Dan Nylaan, Marie (Rick) Bierema, Larry (Kris) Nylaan, Caroline Nylaan; 27 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Rea. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; daughters, Mary Jo Nylaan, Patricia Lewis; son-in-law, Steve Coleman; grandchildren, Jason Lewis, Paul Coleman, Steve Coleman Jr. The family will greet friends Monday, May 11 from 10:00 am until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 am at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 3110 17 Mile Road, Cedar Springs. Rev. Fr. Lam Le celebrant. Interment Floral View Gardens, Grandville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Paul II Catholic Church. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
