Arvella L. Palmer

Arvella L. Palmer age 84 passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at her home. She was born August 17, 1939 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Walter and Erma (Stibitz) Norton. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and had a great sense of humor. She loved being on the go and going for rides. Surviving are her children, Victor (Maxine) Grinwis, Steven Grinwis, Becky Schoonmaker, Karen (Jr) Mendez; daughter-in-law, Tina Schoonmaker; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Walter (Janice) Norton; sister, Betty Lane; sister-in-law, Nancy Norton; special friend, Joe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Palmer; sons, David Norton, Russell Schoonmaker, Jr., Jeff Schoonmaker; siblings, Gertrude (Ernie) Coon, Raymond (Joan) Norton, Jeanette (Roy) Pike, Olive Mae (Fred) Jensen, L.D. Norton, Albert (Shirley) Norton, Geraldine (Earl) Bates, John (Ruthann) Norton, Juanita Norton. The family will greet friends Thursday, March 21 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Friday 11:00 am. Pastor Tom Ekkels officiating. Private interment Restlawn Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
