Arthur W. Newell

Arthur W. Newell age 94 of Cedar Springs, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at his home. He was born May 13, 1928 in Spencer Township, MI the son of William Newell and Ruth (Carpenter) Newell. He was a milk hauler for over 50 years for Independent Co-operative Milk Producers Association. His route was Western Michigan and he was on the job at 4:30 am each day. Arthur is survived by his daughters, Patricia (John) Callahan of Caledonia and Jane Bridenstein of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Jaime and Todd Roy of North Carolina, Samantha Bridenstein of Grand Rapids, Dr. Lisa Mortensen of Chicago, Jon and Amy Callahan of San Diego; great grandchildren, Cassidy & Collin Callahan, Oliver Mortensen; his faithful furry companion, Joey and special friends, Paul Fankhauser, Al Kensil, Vern Sargent; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise (Becker) Newell; parents; sister, Aileen Peterson; son-in-law, Jerry Bridenstein; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The family will greet friends Monday, August 29 at 1 pm at Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home in Cedar Springs with the service to follow at 2 pm. Pastor Michelle Vallier officiating.
