Arthur Douglas Hamilton

Arthur Douglas Hamilton, 57 of Rockford, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at his home. He was born May 6, 1959 in Sandusky, Ohio the son of Roy and Elvin Jeanette (Owens) Hamilton. He was an Electrical Engineer at GE Aviation and a member of the Rockford Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed hunting, skeet and trap shooting, traveling, mountain biking, playing crib, horse shoes and spending time with his grandkids. Surviving are his wife, Linda; children, Bryan Hamilton, Britney (Justin) Fankhauser; grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, Arthur and Laken; step grandchildren, Jinny, Madelyn, Gavin and Leon; sisters, Donna (Dale) Schneiter, Lois (Gene) Ray, Brenda Hamilton, Patricia Hamilton; brother, Arnold (Annette) Hamilton; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joyce. The family will greet friends Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. A memorial service will be held Thursday 5:00 pm at the Rockford Sportsman's Club, 11115 Northland Dr., Rockford. The family will greet friends starting at 4:00 pm and a meal will be served following the service. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
