Arlene Weeks

Arlene Weeks, 73 of Custer, died Monday, October 16, 2006 at her home. Arlene was born September 4, 1933 in Cedar Springs, MI the daughter of Clarence and Beatrice (Robinson) Reed. She had worked at Nelson Metal Products in Grandville for 37 years retiring in 1994. She enjoyed Country Western music and loved to square dance. Surviving are her husband Orvel whom she married on November 25, 1950; 4 children, Calvin Weeks & Shirley Rork of Holton, Karen Weeks & Sue Mason of Grand Rapids, Orvel & Judy Weeks, Jr. of Wayland, Cindy Harris & Todd Dancz of Custer; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Clarence & Midge Reed of Cedar Springs, Orvin & Donna Reed of Sand Lake, Donald & Della Reed of Stanwood; 1 brother-in-law, Elmer Batchelder of Sparta; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Larry & Judy Smith, Boyd & Gail Daniels, Sandy Rone. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Doris, Eloise, and Laura Mae. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8 pm and Thursday from 12 Noon until 1 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Thursday 1:00 pm.
