Amanda Lynn Emerson

Amanda Lynn Emerson,nee Hess, aged 25, of Portsmouth, VA, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2005. Mrs. Emerson was a native of Cedar Springs. She was an Ombudsman of Legare in the U.S. Coast Guard. Amanda was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Madison Laurel Emerson. She is survived by her husband, Eric Rodney Emerson; her son, Dylan Emerson; her parents, Mark and Bobbie (Johnson) Hess; two brothers, Matthew Hess, Rick Hess; and her mother-in-law, Kay Emerson. Also surviving are her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Interment has taken place at Arlington National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate memorial donations for her surviving son, Dylan. Donations may be made to Wachovia bank in the name of his father, Eric Emerson. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
