Alison Y. Krul

Alison Y. Krul age 70 of Sand Lake passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 peacefully at home with family by her side. Through her life she attended Kent City Schools, but when she was old enough she went to the race track at Waterford Park to work with race horses in West Virginia. After coming home from the race track to start a family, she went through several job closings. She also was a leader for Newaygo County 4-H Rodeo Team. Years later when kids were grown, she started raising thoroughbred horses to go to the race track. She got her trainer’s license and did well for herself. But like everything else the horse racing in Michigan was “no more.” She then battled lung cancer for five long years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ruth Krul; sons, Andrew Marsiglia, Roger Bazzett; infant daughter, Laura Strong. She is survived by husband/significant other, Denny Bazzett of 42 years; daughter, Sally Jo Marsiglia; son, Bobby Bazzett; brother, Robert Krul; sister, Sherie Riesberg; grandchildren, Samantha Goss (Josh), Andrea Crouch (Jalen), Bobbie Bazzett, Drew Bazzett; great grandchildren, Landon, Caydon, Zaeleigh, Gavin, Nevaeh, Andrew. She will be greatly missed. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
