Alice M. Holton

Alice Mae Holton, 85 of Cedar Springs, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at her home surrounded by loving family. Alice was born on October 31, 1927 in Big Rapids, MI, the daughter of Joseph and Ella (Graboski) Yost. She was married for 63 years to her husband, Mike and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Alice was a longtime member and supporter of the Cedar Springs community; including 65 years of membership in the Cedar Springs Women’s Club as well as many other volunteer activities. Surviving are her children, Kathleen (Michael) Raudenbush of Rockford, Karen (Gary) Biegler of Atlanta, GA, Kevin (Carol) Holton of St. Cloud, MN, Kristine (John) Dulapa of Plymouth, MI; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Lorraine Jernstadt; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin “Mike” in 2011; son Richard; brothers, John Yost and Gordon Yost; sister, Helen Clark. The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am. Pastor Mary Ivanov officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Memorials may be made to the Cedar Springs Educational Foundation, Cedar Springs United Methodist Church and The Cedar Springs Library
