Alfred R. Raymond

Alfred R. Raymond age 88 of Sand Lake, died Friday, December 15, 2023 at Corewell Health Blodgett Campus surrounded by his children. He was born May 25, 1935 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of John and Agnes (Thomas) Raymond. Alfred married Shirley Stoken on August 28, 1965. Together they raised five children with seldom a dull moment. He was a machinist and worked for Walter Hagen for 32 years and retired from AutoCam. He was a lifetime outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, four wheeling, camping, riding snowmobiles and motorcycles. He was a member of the Sand Lake Drift Riders. He taught his kids how to hunt, fish, fix things and throw a baseball. Surviving are his children, Scott (Cinda) Raymond, Gordon Raymond, Dennis (Nancy) Raymond, Susan (Timothy) Steinebach, Marcey (Dale) Allington; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Shirley; sister, Elizabeth Nelson; 1 granddaughter; 3 great grandchildren. The family will greet friends Wednesday, December 20 from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Interment Crandall Cemetery, Ensley Township.
